If you're looking to save money on eyewear, here's the good news: you don't have to go far to get affordable glasses. Le Bonhomme à lunettes has more than 65 points of service in southern Quebec and a single mission: to make the purchase of glasses accessible to all.
Even though everything is going up, we insist on keeping the same base prices since our founding in 2007. This means that our frames have been priced at $69, without exception, for 15 years. It's no coincidence that we are featured in La Semaine magazine under the title 325 trucs pour faire des économies. But it's not enough to offer cheap glasses, you also have to go and meet your customers. To do this, Le Bonhomme offers a headquarters located in the Mile-End as well as more than 65 points of service in several regions of Quebec.
Here is a small geographical guide summarizing the 65 ways you can get cheap glasses. Just bring your prescription!
Montréal
With about 25 service points, we are present all over the island of Montreal. Whether you drive, take public transit or ride a bike, there is probably a service point near you. Not to mention our headquarters, les Portes Orange, which welcomes clients in Mile End from Monday to Friday with evening hours.
South Shore & Montéregie
With more than 15 service points at the time of writing, our second largest presence is on the South Shore and in the Montérégie. There are several in Longueuil, including l’ACEF Rive-Sud which offers evening hours on Thursday, but also in Chambly, Boucherville, Brossard and Châteauguay. To the north, just at the limits of the Montérégie, there is our service point in Sorel-Tracy. We also have a stop in Saint-Hyacinthe on Wednesdays. Finally, there are our three southernmost service points in the region: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Valleyfield and Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Laval
Located in Saint-François, Fabreville, Saint-Vincent-de-Paul and Pont-Viau, our 4 Laval service locations are spread out to cover almost the entire island from east to west. They are also located near major arteries such as Boulevard de la Concorde and Boulevard Dagenais, allowing Laval residents to come and meet us without having to make life too complicated.
Laurentians
With more than 10 service points in the region, there are not only the people of Saint-Eustache, Saint-Jérôme and Mont-Tremblant who can take advantage of our low prices. We also stop at Lachute, Mirabel, Pointe-Calumet, Sainte-Agathe as well as Rivière-Rouge.
Lanaudière
We are proud to have reached the milestone of 10 service points in the region. Don't worry, we don't just go along the river. Of course, we have service points in Repentigny, Lavaltrie and Berthierville, but we also go much further north, from Joliette through Saint Côme and Saint-Zénon.
Eastern Townships - Centre-du-Québec - Outaouais
With a business model like ours, the more mileage we do, the more complicated it is for us to offer low cost glasses. However, this does not prevent us from serving regions that are a little further away from our headquarters. So we end with our trio of one region = one point of service:
- Let's start with the oldest. In the Eastern Townships, we stop at Centre d'action bénévole de Granby since 2015. We are there every Tuesday from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
- When it comes to Centre-du-Québec, it's in Drummondville qu’on pose nos valises chaque vendredi. Drummondvillois as well as residents of nearby towns can come and meet us at the Centre d'action bénévole Drummond on Saint-Pierre Street, near Saint-Joseph Boulevard.
- Finally, we are also present in the Outaouais. We stop at La Plume, an organization based in Saint-André-Avellin.
