Bonhomme à lunettes: THE reference for inexpensive eyewear on the South Shore

lunettes Rive-Sud

Bonhomme à lunettes was born in 2007 when founder Philippe Rochette realized that prescription glasses were often too expensive for everyday people. Seeing clearly should never be an unaffordable luxury. He wanted to change things with an innovative business model and the model has since been imitated many times, including on the South Shore. So, what kind of innovative model let us offer everyone affordable glasses? It's quite simple actually.

Selling Affordable Glasses 101

Step One : Putting community organizations at the centre of the strategy. Doing this also helps them raise funds, it’s a win-win! Bonhomme à lunettes wins by saving on rent and passing on these savings to customers and community organizations win by qualifying for additional funding to help support their activities.

Step Two : eliminate the superfluous. No prestigious brands, no expensive marketing campaigns, no expensive operating costs. By minimizing overall costs, Le Bonhomme à lunettes can afford to sell quality frames and lenses at reasonable prices.

Step Three : prioritize customer satisfaction. First of all by offering a friendly, warm and human service as well as good advice, but also by focusing on the needs of the customers. Moreover, by offering guarantees that go beyond what was done in the industry, including the famous Bad Luck Special

We have run things this way for 15 years and have made Bonhomme à lunettes the leader in accessible optical care. We have also inspired many other opticians in Québec and around the world to do the same. We're even featured in this special issue of La Semaine magazine called 325 trucs pour faire des économies.

Lots of Service Points on the South Shore

Over the years, Bonhomme à lunettes has established several service points on the South Shore to meet the needs of its customers: Longueuil, Beloeil, Chambly, La Prairie, Châteauguay, Brossard, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Boucherville, and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. That’s a total of 12 service points for anyone who wants to save on one of those things that’s hard to live without. Check out our schedule to find the one that's most convenient to you.
